Is window tinting legal in South Australia?
Yes, with limits. Front side windows must allow at least 35% of light through (35% VLT). Rear windows on passenger vehicles have no minimum restriction. Windscreens can only have a light tinting strip at the top. Our team ensures every install is fully compliant.
How do I care for my new window tint?
Avoid winding your windows down and refrain from cleaning the inside of the glass for at least 48–72 hours after installation. The tint needs time to cure fully. Once cured, use a soft microfibre cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner.
Can you tint a car with an existing tint?
We recommend removing old film before applying a new tint for the best result. Our team can advise on removal at the time of booking.
Will tinting affect my GPS or phone signal?
Our ceramic and nano ceramic films — Solargard Ion, Rayno S9 and Ultrafit VS — are non-metalised and do not interfere with GPS, phone signals, toll tag readers or radar detectors. Metalised films can cause interference; we'll be upfront about this.
What does 'ceramic window tint' mean?
Ceramic window tint uses nano-ceramic particles embedded in the film to reject infrared heat and UV rays without relying on metal layers. The result is superior performance, signal transparency and longer-lasting clarity compared to standard dyed or metalised films.
